In August 2020, former US President Donald Trump signed an executive action to ban the company from US devices. Recently, this movement has gained new-found traction In November 2022, the US Federal Communication

13、s Commission proposed that the government should ban the social media app. Other government officials have taken matters into their own hands. Maryland governor banned the use of TikTok on state devices in December and the state of Indiana sued the app for targeting youth with inappropriate content.
